Simplify September

Sometimes, it's the little things that add most value to our lives. As the world becomes a much more complicated place to live, we are reminded of the changing seasons and it is very evident that the season has changed. This yearly transition affords us with time to reflect on the time before and what if anything was different about that season than any other previous one.

Look around at nature and its appearance - it is changing fast!  As the days grow shorter and the temperature dipping colder, nature does what is needs to do to survive, mainly letting go.  The fruits that are ready are to be used and those that have not quite got to maturity, will not have the time and warmth to do so however, there are some plants that survive and thrive in adverse weather conditions.

We are grateful for the production of food, shade, colour, shape and beauty and nature is a great reflector amongst the often complications of life and in order for us to go through the next season of this year, we are reminded that just like some plants, they need to shed the unnecessary parts of themselves in order to conserve their energy to be able to survive times of less - they let go.

Letting go is an act of survival and if we go beyond just getting through one challenge after another, making a decision to not bring forward situations and things that no longer benefit us is an act of personal growth and just like the plant, it has either completed its life cycle or preparing to put down some deeper roots to be able to resurface again in the future, bigger, stronger and vibrant. In fact holding onto dead and dying things is an act of fear!

By keeping life as simple as possible - less drama, is not just an act of survival, but an act of healing, personal growth and getting right back to basics, but in a really powerful and conscious way.
